:: RP-Names ::
Here, in Lords of Roleplay, we requires everyone to use a Roleplay Name. A Roleplay Name means it includes a Firstname and a Lastname, and the format of the name should be Firstname_Lastname (The underline is a must between the two names!) You also need to use capitals at the beginning of both names. Famous names (such as Carl_Johnson) will be asked to change, if the player won't comply, he / she will be kicked. Names longer than 16 characters will be a cut out by the game.
(Firstname = Your personal name - Lastname = Your family name)
Examples of capitals:
Christoffer_Moen (Right)
chRIStoffer_moEN (Wrong)
CHRISTOFFER_MOEN (Wrong)

Examples of good names:
Dan_Balabua
Jose_Santiago

Examples of bad name:
Dark_Shadow
(Have you ever seen a guy named "Dark Shadow"? No. It's a nickname, not a name. Don't register on the server with nicknames, use real name. You may write your nickname as an add to your character's bio)
Examples of Non-RP Names:
Vodka
Hellraiser
Killa49
[LSPD]Herman_Hammon

(This name has a tag. Tags are not allowed, no matter what the reason is. People don't use tags in real life, so either you do in roleplay)
John
(No one has a firstname without lastname. Have you ever seen a man just called "John"? No, you haven't, and you never will)
Motha_Fucka
(Not allowed, the reason is very clear, so don't ask)

:: Bug Exploits ::
Bugs are things that goes wrong in the server. If it happens and you can use a bug to your own good, you won't use it. You have to report to one of the admins by using /report or the forums. If the bug is seriously bad and can be used very quickly, contact admins in /report and do not use the forums. If you abuse a bug, it will be found out, sooner or later. If you abuse a bug you will get banned. That's right, banned. If the bug is minor, you get a minimum of 3 days ban. If it's a major exploit, you will get a permanent ban which will not be removed!

:: Metagaming ::
You read something on the forums? You heard something outside of the game (Ventrilo, telephones, MSN, IMs ect)? You can't use it in the game. All information you get in game must come through your character's eyes. You see a person walking in the street, you can't know their names (despite the floating name tag over their heads) because in real life you never see a name above some-one's head. If you do see that kind of stuff in real life, stop playing GTA San Andreas and go see a mental therapist in the nearest nut-house in your location. You may call him sir, dude, man, whatever you want, but you cannot know his name until he tells you the name (or another guy tells you) IC.
If a friend calls you through PM, you cannot come because in real life, you don't have telepathy and your character doesn't talk to him IC. If you look in one's PM, you see brackets (The (( and )) signs), means it's OOC.
Also, you don't know your in real life friends IC until you make a RP meeting that includes a meeting of the both of you in certain reasons. Don't use OOC or PM to make a RP meeting!

:: Death matching ::
Some servers got the goal to get as much kills as possible. Here it's not the goal. You won't hurt anyone else unless you have a good reason to do it, which will also be a good reason in real life.
Examples:
You walk in the street, and you get into an oral fight (Trash talking, cursing each other, arguing...) with someone else. That guy is pulling out a gun, and start shooting at you. Since your life is in danger, you got a perfectly good reason to pull out a gun of your own and kill him.
Now, another person is walking in the street, and starts cursing you. If you made your character (in the bio) an easy angered one (and also one that doesn't worry to much for getting in troubles with the cops), it's a good reason to punch that guy in the face. It is not good reason to pull out a pistol and look at the pavement through the other guys' belly.
Another small example. You see a guy walking in the street. You got no reason to hurt him in anyway, so don't do it!

:: Revenge Killing ::
If you get killed, you must continue playing and die. You will return to the game, of course, but you must act like you died. You cannot know who killed you and you must treat him just like that. If you killed a guy and you see him in the street, you act like he is a total stranger to you. A new page will begin. It is very likely to meet someone for the very first time, get killed by him and then meet him again and be best friends. If one of the murdered friend is in the crime scene and didn't die himself, or something told him that you were killed, he may revenge your death.

:: The Mob ::
The mafia, the mob, the underworld and anything in-between.
Because it's just a computer game, lots of people starts feeling like big men and disrespecting the mod. In real life it would never happen. What happens in real life when a bunch of guys surrounded one man with bats and guns in order to get something out of him? I'll tell you what happens. The guy craps his pants, and will probably fully cooperate. If he won't, he will probably get beat up and learn to cooperate for the next time. In-game, the worst thing that can happen to you is that you will end up in the hospital.

:: OOC & IC Chats ::
What is the different?
OOC - Out of Character
This is used for things in your real life, things out of your character's life (sports, other video-games, girls ect...)
IC - In character
This is the things that happen in your character's life, it's virtues, abilities and such...
Example:
OOC: My name is Christoffer Nicolay Moen, a nice person who belives in the law.
IC: My name is Christoffer Moen, and I am the chief over LSPD.

Here's a list of chats with a short description and a subdivision between OOC and IC:
Local OOC: /B before sentences. EX: /B I am the lead-admin.
Global OOC: /O before sentences. EX: /O Hello everyone!
Its different by the hearing range in Global and Local chats.
Local means only people from within your hearing range can hear/see. Global means everyone on the server can see it, if enabled.

Normal: Press T and write what you want to say.
Local - Command: (/L)ocal
This is mostly used to avoid people on the other side of the phone to hear what you say to another person.
Whisper - Command: (/W)hisper
This is OOC. You can use this to whisper to someone's ears, to tell something secret, but this is only if both players are standing close to eachother, and that you are acually able to speak into his ears, by the positions of both characters.
Shout - Command: (/S)hout
It increases the hearing range, plus it puts two rading signs (!!) at the end of your text.
Close - Command:
Talk only to the ones really close to you. Fairly decreases the hearing range. People standing abit away, cannot hear this.

Using the phone (IC): /call number EX: /call 2587.
You can buy a phone book in 24/7 and use /number ID to see the player's number. Don't use PM to get a person's number or any other OOC chats. Also, you are not allowed to abuse the phonebook, you shouldn't be searching for a person, you don't even know by name. This means, you should just call someone randomly!

:: Actions::
When your character is doing something for example picking up something, drawing a weapon from somewhere or simply just raising his/her hand to make a handshake, you'll need to type in the action of your character in '/Me [Action]'
Examples:
/me put his hand to shake Christoffer's hand.
/me opens up the drawer.
/me unholster a service pistol from holster.
Spamming with this command is not really nessascary, but it keeps the roleplay much more enjoyable, there will be a lot to type - indeed but it will become more fun for everyone. At least you will need to use this command a few times, if you get pulled over you need to RP taking your wallet out (where you would most likely have your license, you may not just do a /showlicenses to the officer)
Example:
* Thomas takes out his wallet from left pocket.
* Thomas opens his wallet to take out his driver's license.
* Thomas hands the license out the window so the officer may take it.
* Christoffer takes a grab of the license and carefully looks at it.
